OFCCP Compliance Regulations: Federal Contractors Take Note

OFCCP Compliance Regulations: Federal Contractors Take Note

Written by Patti Trimpin, FosterThomas HR Consultant

Keeping up with OFCCP Compliance Regulations

As a Human Resource professional I understand how difficult it is to keep up with the constant changes to OFCCPOFCCP compliance regulations.  Federal contractors and subcontractors have many obligations to contend with, particularly when it comes to the hiring process. I recently participated in a webinar that helped to simplify the confusion by focusing on proper outreach efforts and documentation, as well as recordkeeping requirements. This webinar was hosted by LocalJobNetwork (localjobnetwork.com) and included valuable information as well as helpful checklists. Key takeaways of the OFCCP compliance regulations included:

  • List of overall obligations for federal contractors in the hiring process and action required
  • Documentation compliance checklist which includes a link directly to register with the ESDS (Employment Service Delivery System -previously known as state job bank/state job bank)
  • Recordkeeping requirements
    • Including length of time to keep records
  • Applicant Tracking, Reporting and Tracking Metrics
  • Social Media Recruiting
  • Problem Area Analysis
  • List of specific outreach efforts
  • Requirements of outreach reports to demonstrate outreach efforts
